Halloween Makeup Look: Pennywise

Easy Halloween Makeup Look: Half Glam, Half Smoky Pennywise

If you're looking for a simple yet striking Halloween makeup look that you can recreate using products you already own, this is it! Inspired by a spooky glam version of Pennywise, I put my twist on it with bold colors and smoky vibes. Here’s a breakdown of how I achieved this look, including all the makeup and brushes I used. Let’s dive in!

The Base

For this look, I wanted full coverage to give me a clean, smooth base. I mixed Senegence Tinted Moisturizer with the Senegence Dewy Foundation for more coverage. This combination allowed me to create a flawless finish that still felt lightweight. For bronzer, I used my go-to Senegence Deep Tinted Moisturizer, applied a bit heavier than usual to add dimension and warmth.

Brush used: Morphe M439 brush – This fluffy brush is great for buffing foundation into the skin for a seamless finish.

Eyes: Bold, Smoky, and Dramatic

I started with Moca Java ShadowSense as a transition shade. This is key for blending out darker colors later. Instead of jumping right into the bold shades, I built up the look gradually to avoid any harsh lines or the dreaded “punched in the face” effect. To create the smoky Pennywise vibe, I used Onyx ShadowSense for the black base and deepened it with a mix of Blu-Red HydraMatte lip color. These lip colors work beautifully on the eyes for a vibrant pop of color!

Once the black shadow was in place, I added Onyx Glitter to give the look a glam edge, pressing it in with my fingers for extra sparkle.

Brushes used:

  • Flat brush: Used for applying the Onyx ShadowSense across the lid.

  • Domed brush: For blending the black into the crease and around the edges.

  • Blending brush: For diffusing the red HydraMatte lip color into the outer corners and lower lash line.

Lips: Dark and Dramatic

I wanted a bold, dark look for the lips blu-red HydraMatte to match the smoky eye. I lined my lips with a black pencil liner (the same one used on my face) and filled them in with Onyx ShadowSense for a deep black finish. To give the lips some dimension, I dabbed a bit of blu-red HydraMatte in the center for a subtle ombré effect.

Eyebrows and Finishing Touches

For the brows, I wanted them to be bold and dark to tie in with the dramatic eyes and lips. I filled them in using Onyx ShadowSense, applying it with a light hand to avoid harsh lines. This step helped pull the whole look together.

To finish, I used black mascara to define my lashes and added false lashes for an extra touch of drama. If you do not like wearing lashes, you can layer your mascara to build volume.

Hair: Fun with Space Buns

Since I was going for a half-glam, half-Pennywise look, I pulled my hair into two fun space buns. This playful hairstyle complements the makeup without overpowering it. I used tiny bobby pins to secure my buns in place—perfect for keeping everything neat while letting the makeup shine.

This Halloween look combines fun, glam, and spooky vibes. The best part is that you can achieve it with products you likely already have in your collection. Whether you're getting ready for a last-minute costume party or want to experiment with bold colors, this look is easy to recreate.
